The ALPHABET series of acrylic paintings was created in 2022, when I was 93 years old. After publishing numerous books over a period of many years, including ten books of sonnets in 2021, I felt the need to get back to painting. Having then completed three different series of acrylic paintings - PATTERNS, WEAVING PATTERNS, and TRANSITIONS - I decided to try my hand at using the bright colors I used in my recent series to render the letters of the Alphabet. Employing the ancient art of stenciling, I used two colors to portray each letter. To complete each painting, I used an abstract stencil design for the background.
